Director General of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohammad Elbaradei confirmed Saturday what Iran calls 'nuclear apartheid' saying this is the same unequal security system in the region.
Speaking to CNN, Mohammad Elbaradei who won the Nobel Peace Prize said some nations tell others that nuclear programs are not good for you but at the same time they opt for continuation of their nuclear activities.
On a question on whether he believes in the existence of what Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad calls nuclear apartheid in the world, he said "I call it an unequal security system."
He said to establish a security zone in the tense regions such as the Middle East, several crises including Palestine, Kashmir and North Korea should be resolved.
"Iran is in a region where some nations are not its friends and this a reason that it feels unsecured."
He also referred to the latest inspection of Iran's nuclear facilities saying that there are still questions on Iran nuclear program, adding but "I have not found anything indicating that Iran is pursuing uranium enrichment to build nuclear weapons."
Similar to the case of Iraq there are ample correct as well as rroneous information which should be studied, he said.
Elbaradei added that referring Iran's nuclear dossier to UN Security Council does not entail use of force.
In related news, ElBaradei called Saturday for resumption of negotiations on Iran's nuclear program.
According to the Saturday issue of the Austrian daily, Standard, one day prior to being awarded the Nobel Peace prize in the Norwegian capital of Oslo, the IAEA chief called on the three EU members of France, Britain and Germany to resume nuclear negotiations with Iran.
He hoped that the differences over Iran's nuclear dossier will end in the new Christian year.
Meanwhile, without any further explanation, he warned that the international community is about to run out of patience.
