ElBaradei calls for resumption of talks on Iran's nuclear program

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Vienna, Dec 10, IRNA
Iran-ElBaradei-Nuclear Negotiations
Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed ElBaradei called for resumption of negotiations on Iran's nuclear program.

According to the Saturday issue of the Austrian daily, Standard, one day prior to being awarded the Nobel Peace prize in the Norwegian capital of Oslo, the IAEA chief called on the three EU members of France, Britain and Germany to resume nuclear negotiations with Iran.

He hoped that the differences over Iran's nuclear dossier will end in the new Christian year.

Meanwhile, without any further explanation, he warned that the international community is about to run out of patience.

This year's one-million-euro Nobel Peace prize will be awarded to the IAEA and its director general in Oslo today.

The committee in charge of the Nobel Peace prize declared in October that it will be awarded to the UN nuclear watchdog and its chief for their efforts to prevent military application of atomic energy.
