President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here on Wednesday called on Muslim heads of state to find remedies for the Muslim world's problems through unity and solidarity.

Addressing the extraordinary summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Ahmadinejad said today's world is in dire need of a comprehensive model of prosperity given the ongoing pessimism over administration of justice.

"As the Muslim world heads of state, we are shouldering an important historical responsibility and can fulfill the big and divine mission by careful recognition of conditions and wise exploitation of all the potentials," said Ahmadinejad.

Some Muslim states are threatened by the big powers, warned Ahmadinejad, adding that if the ill wishers and enemies of Muslims are not shown proper reactions by Muslim states, they will know no boundaries for their aggressions.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ahmadinejad called for formation of the Muslim world union of radios and TVs, saying it will provide a channel for exchange of information, technology, science, arts and media productions.

He said Islamic contracts help promote economic transactions and offer a successful model for the Islamic economy.

The president in his speech also urged diversification of products, further economic vibrancy, speedy establishment of Islamic common market, easing customs formalities, facilitation of visits by Muslims to Muslim states, and establishment of Islamic arbitration court.

He referred to the usurper Israel regime in the occupied Palestine as the main obstacle on the way of Muslim Ummah and said wise removal of the anxiety will give Islam a strong share in administration of global affairs.

He said accepting a usurper government means making mankind disappointed with restoration of a lasting peace and calm, officially recognizing tyranny, arrogance and domination.

The only wise breakthrough, which would be based on the international regulations, is return of all the Palestinian refugees, and holding a broad-based referendum on the type of government in the Palestinian lands with Qods being its capital, said Ahmadinejad, calling on the OIC to assign a team on behalf of Muslim states to probe into full implementation of the issue.

The President said Muslim states, with more than one fifth of the world population, should have a fair share in the international decision making bodies. "Presence of a representative from Muslim states in the UN Security Council will guarantee peace, calm and justice in the world," he added.

Unfortunately, many citizens, minorities and refugees in certain states, including in the so-called pro-democracy states, are considered the second rate citizens and are treated unjustly, being subjected to discrimination, said Ahmadinejad, proposing formation of the Islamic human rights organization to verify behavior of different countries and publish its annual report in a bid to help restoration of the rights of human beings.
