The envoys of European heavyweights -- Germany, Britain and France -- representing European Union in nuclear talks with Iran, say they will not table and adopt any resolution against Tehran at the Thursday meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) Board of Governors.

In an interview with IRNA Vienna correspondent on Wednesday, a senior IAEA diplomat quoted EU envoys as announcing readiness in their two-hour closed-door meeting with NAM troika (Malaysia, South Africa and Cuba) in the IAEA Board on Wednesday not to submit or pass any anti-Iran resolution in the Board session on Thursday.

The diplomat said the EU will at the Board meeting contend to the statement by the Board Secretary and will not act independently in adopting any draft against Iran.

The Japanese Chairman of the Board Yukiya Amano is to issue a statement on Iran after summing up discussions at the IAEA Board meeting.

The EU had in the previous Board meetings been at the fore of the resolutions issued against Iran.

The 35-nation IAEA Board will start debate and investigation on Iran's nuclear case in Vienna on Thursday.

The meeting will examine a five-page report of the Egyptian Director General of the IAEA, published last Friday, and will decide on Iran's cooperation with the Agency for settlement of its nuclear problem and removal of remaining vague points.
