South Africa endeavors to halt referral of nuclear dossier to SC

South African Ambassador to Tehran Yousof Malouji in a meeting with Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel here Sunday said that his country would do its best to halt referral of Iran's nuclear dossier to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

According to a report released by Majlis Media Department, the African diplomat added that Iran is entitled to the rights for access to nuclear energy and declared once more his country's support for Iran's peaceful nuclear program.

He declared South Africa's readiness for extensive cooperation with Iran in the mining sector.

Malouji hoped that Majlis support for the agreement on the second mobile operator reached with the South African MTN company would soon be finalized.

For his part, Haddad-Adel referred to South Africa as a significant country having a great impact in the African continent and the world.

He underlined Iran's determination to strengthen mutual ties in various domains.

The Majlis speaker noted that South Africa's proper approach towards Iran's nuclear issue at the International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Governors is in line with development of closer relations between the two countries.
