Deputy US Foreign Secretary for National Security and Disarmament Robert Jozef said in Dushanbe Wednesday that Iran's nuclear program is dangerous and its dossier should be referred to the UN Security Council.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Tajik President Rakhmonov, Josef described Iran's nuclear activities as
"threatening."
On his talks with the Tajik president, he said that the issue of US forces in Tajikistan was not broached.

He said that the two sides discussed cooperation in terrorism and prevention of spread of nuclear proliferation and other topics relating to regional security.

He said the upcoming trip by the US Foreign Secretary Condoleezza Rice to the region is "important" and will cover a slew of issues ranging from democracy and human rights.
