The briefing session of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors held at the Vienna-based agency headquarters at the invitation of the EU trio on Saturday ended.
An Iranian diplomat told IRNA that the session was also attended by a limited number of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member states in the Board of Governors.
According to him, during the meeting, the European representatives elaborated on the content of their proposed draft resolution about Iran and responded to the questions raised on the issue.
The diplomat dismissed the reports on Russia's call for postponement of the voting process and said that during the Friday evening session it was decided to take votes on 15:00 hours on Saturday Vienna time (16:30 Tehran time).
He added that though the resolution is to be assessed by the Board of Governors, it is not yet clear whether the EU proposed draft resolution will be approved unanimously or a vote will be called upon due to being opposed.
"Russia, China and NAM members states are still against part of the content of the Europeans proposed draft resolution and are negotiating the issue. The final outcome of the debate will be revealed at the end of the Saturday session.
