Sacred Defense-Mohammad Najar
Minister of Defence and Logistics of Armed Forces Brigadier General Mostafa Mohammad Najar said on Saturday that a nation which have proved national resolve to sacrifice their lives for defense of their country do not need nuclear arms.
Addressing a parade of personnel of the ministry to mark the third day of the Sacred Defense Week, Mohammad Najar said that Iran merely wants nuclear energy for civilian application and welfare of citizens and does not need nuclear arms.
He paid tribute to martyrs of the sacred defense (1980-1988) and said, "Our martyrs have taught the world that Islamic Iran is alive and dynamic and makes every sacrifice to defend national and Islamic values."
"Martyrs of the sacred defense taught lesson of self-belief to the nation and Iran has made advancement in the field of modern equipment for defense forces," the defense minister said.
