Tehran, Aug 12, IRNA
A group of Tehran Friday prayers worshipers on Friday condemned the discriminatory stance of the US and Europe towards Iran compared to the Zionist regime of Israel, India and Pakistan and denounced the EU3 draft resolution on Iran that was adopted by the UN watchdog on Thursday.
"We strongly condemn the discriminatory behavior of the US and Europe in supporting the nuclear and weapons-grade program of the occupying Zionist regime, India and Pakistan, while opposing Iran's peaceful nuclear activities," read a statement issued at the end of a rally staged by Friday prayers worshipers after the prayers.
The resolution added, "We also strongly condemn the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for its discriminatory behavior with regards to article four of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) which calls for supporting peaceful nuclear activities of countries, while stopping and destroying nuclear weapons."
The statement announced support for resumption of nuclear activities by Tehran, including the unsealing of the Uranium Conversion Facility (UCF) in Isfahan, and turned down the EU3 draft resolution which led to adoption of a resolution against Iran by the IAEA Board on Thursday.
They hailed the officials for their "brave" move in putting the nuclear fuel cycle into operation under the full popular backing.
They said the "brave" measure would serve as a giant stride helping the developing states successfully pass technological backwardness and foiling conspiracies of the global arrogance.
"We believe the nuclear fuel cycle, resumed by Iran, is a domestic technology and product of young Iranian scientists' efforts under the West's economic blockade; so, we will strongly defend the national technology," read the statement.
"Now that the world is provided with 336,000 megawatts of power generated by 440 nuclear power plants and at a time that Europe and US have multipled their nuclear budget to upgrade their power plants and raise them to 510 reactors, how can one accept the condition that Islamic Iran does not have even one nuclear power plant." The worshipers called for operation of the section for production of the centrifuge parts and resumption of the main fuel phase , i.e.
Uranium Enrichment Facility in Natanz, in order for peaceful use of nuclear activities and in order to guarantee generation of sustainable and clean nuclear energy and use it for farming and medical purposes.
They said brave and revolutionary move of the officials and adoption of the national resistance strategy are the keys to attain the objectives.
