Paris, Aug 6, IRNA
French Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Cecile Pozzo di Borgo here Friday stressed his country's willingness to continue nuclear talks with Iran.
Talking to IRNA, di Borgo expressed hope ties between Tehran and the European Union would enter a new phase through Europe's new proposals to Iran.
Asked about the possibility of Europe's participation in construction of non-military nuclear power plants in Iran, she said such cooperation has not been mentioned transparently in nuclear agreements between Tehran and the EU.
France, like other EU allies, supports Iran's presence in all peaceful nuclear activities including participation in international tenders, she added.
In response to a question on irregular measures by European officials including one adopted by the Belgian government on Thursday on opposition to export of sulfuric acid to Iran and unannounced sanctions such as prevention of of non-military jets export to Iran, the French official hoped such issues would be settled through Iran's accepting Europe's new proposals.
She reiterated remarks by France Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy saying Iran is a big country with great nation.
