GC confirms authenticity of presidential elections

Guardian Council (GC) on Wednesday confirmed authenticity of 9th presidential runoff elections in Iran.
In a letter to Interior Minister Abdolvahed Mousavi Lari here Wednesday, the GC Secretary Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati said given the fact that no cases had occurred during the elections which could mar the healthy process of the elections and considering that no complaints had been received in the due legal time, the authenticity of elections was confirmed.
The letter however stressed that a few violations in the course of the presidential campaigns which have been referred to the Judiciary for further investigation can never bring the soundness of the elections under question.
It also hailed the massive participation of the Iranian nation in elections and appreciated the performance of the Interior Ministry officials and staff in holding the elections.
