European Union foreign ministers discussed Monday the latest developments in nuclear negotiations currently underway with Iran and Germany, France and the UK with the support of EU High Representative for a common foreign and security policy, Javier Solana.
"The Iranians have to respect the commitments made last November under the Paris agreement," Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn, whose country holds the current EU Presidency, told a press conference in Brussels Monday afternoon.
He said the ministers supported the nuclear negotiations with the Islamic Republic.
"The commitments cannot be circumvented. This is very important for further relations between the EU and Iran," he added.
Solana along with the foreign ministers of Germany, France and the UK are to meet the Secretary of the High National Security Council of Iran, Hassan Rowhani, in Geneva on Wednesday to discuss Iran's nuclear program.
EU-Iran nuclear talks at the experts level will be held in Brussels Tuesday.
