Kharrazi-Nuclear-Parliament
Iran's Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi said Tuesday that Iran is committed to the talks and an agreement could be reached through negotiations if the Europeans want it.
"We do believe that a mutual consent could be reached through the talks. But, however, if the Europeans do not take the talks seriously, it is their own concern," he told reporters after his meeting with members of Majlis (Parliament) Commission for National Security and Foreign Policy.
"No one can deprive Iran of its legitimate rights."
The European party has asked for permanent suspension of Iran's nuclear activities but Tehran rejects it as an illegitimate request, he said, stressing that Iran is seeking its rights and interests in this regard.
However, he did not disclose the exact date of starting some activities of Isfahan UCF unit (Uranium Conversion Facility), a center for processing and producing uranium in the central city of Isfahan.
Iran's National Security Council Secretary Hassan Rowhani said (on April 30) that Iran will resume some parts of the activities at the UCF in Isfahan.
"At present, no plan has been set for the next round of the talks," he noted, adding the Europeans -- Germany, France, Britain -- have not accepted Iran's proposal in the last round of talks held in London, Britain, on April 29.
Elsewhere, Kharrazi briefed reporters on his today talks with the MPs from the National Commission and Foreign Policy at Majlis, saying that a report on the 2005 Review of the NPT (held at the UN headquarters in New York) was submitted.
As far as the NPT is concerned, Iran observes its commitments and insists on its own rights.
