Iran has no documentary evidence on missile deal with Ukraine
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, April 10, Itar-Tass/ACSNA/IRNA -- Iranian authorities do not have any documentary evidence on missile purchasing from Ukraine, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi told a press conference in Tehran on Sunday.
He said governmental organizations did not conclude such deals.
"The information [about the deals] comes from Ukrainian sources. I do not think it is correct," the diplomat said.
This is the first reaction of Iran to reports on Ukrainian missile deliveries to Tehran, which were released early this year.
The Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office said 12 X-55 cruise missiles were shipped to Iran and six to China in 2001.
