Iran-Younessi-Nuclear Technology
Information Minister Ali Younessi said here Tuesday that all Iranians are determined to gain access to nuclear technology and consider the move as a national issue.

Addressing the provincial managers in Qom, he said although there are some rifts among a number of political parties on the current issues of the country, they consider safeguarding nuclear technology as part of their national duty.

All Iranians irrespective of their political inclinations believed in Iran's legitimate right to gain access to nuclear technology and are ready to defend such a right, he said.

The US would not like Muslims in the region to gain access to nuclear capabilities, he pointed out.

The American wants the Zionist regime to have a final say in all nuclear and non-nuclear fields in the Middle East region, he said.

"Unfortunately, a number of Islamic countries have been deprived of access to nuclear technology due to their fear of the superpowers but the Islamic Republic of Iran fears no one," he said.

The Americans does not let any one gain access to nuclear technology even it was the ousted Pahlavi regime, he said.

"We agreed to sit at the negotiating table to prove that we never seek tension are not after production of weapons of mass destruction," he said.

The Americans are after changing governments and for them issues such as democracy in the Middle East are much more dangerous than nuclear bombs, he said.

They have sought to wipe out all political and non-political movements in Islamic countries in recent years under pretext of terrorism, he said.
