Tehran not satisfied with EU talks: Rafsanjani
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, March 7, IRNA -- Chairman of the Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani here on Sunday evening said Tehran is not satisfied with the trend of talks with the European states since they have not met Iran`s expectations so far. Talking to domestic and foreign reporters at the end of the International Conference on Nuclear Technology and Sustainable Development, he said however, the Europeans have shown some signs of good will. Answering a question on what would happen if Iran`s expectations are not met, he said in that case, the situation would be changed. On relations between the settlement of nuclear crisis and election of Iran`s new president, Rafsanjani said he could see no relations between the two issues, adding that whoever would be elected as the country`s president will defend the nation`s rights in that regard. The nuclear issues are parts of the system`s principal policies, he further reiterated. On the US harsh attitudes towards Iran, he said, soon or late, Washington will understand that the correct way of talking to Iran is the language of logic and justice. As to negotiations with the US, the EC chairman reiterated that Washington should show some kind of good will in order to be reliable. Tehran has not seen any sign of good will from the US authorities so far, he added. 1422/1432
