IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Vienna, March 2, IRNA -- An Iranian atomic energy official described the act of an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) deputy in reading verification report on Iran`s nuclear activities in the Board of Governors meeting as an `unusual` measure. Deputy for Iranian Atomic Energy Organization for planning and international affairs, Mohammad Saeedi, told IRNA here that the reports of this kind are as a rule presented to technical meetings held prior to Board of Governors` meeting while this time and on Iran`s case it was read out in the official session of the board. He said Iran was critical of the point that the presentation of the report should have followed the same routine procedure as usual. The official noted that Iran has already let IAEA Director General Mohammad ElBaradei know about its view on regarding the act. According to Saeedi, the report reflects on the procedure of IAEA inspection visits and also the origin of the pollution detected in some of nuclear particles in Iran. He said it stresses the fact that all Iran`s nuclear activities have been carried out under the supervision of the IAEA experts and were monitored by the cameras installed by the agency. Saeedi also noted that the IAEA has underlined in the report Iran`s cooperation in letting IAEA inspect Parchin installations. Referring to the point that the US probably is to issue a statement on Iran`s nuclear activities, he said the important thing for Iran was only that it was cooperating with the IAEA in the full scale and tried to bring all its nuclear activities in compliance with the internationally-accepted regulations. 1424/1432
