Bushehr, Feb 27, IRNA -- Tehran and Moscow here Sunday signed an agreement, which obliges Iran to return spent fuel of the Bushehr Power Plant to Russia. The agreement was inked by Russian Federal Atomic Energy Agency Chief Alexander Rumyantsev and Head of Iran`s Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) Gholam Reza Aqazadeh. Rumyantsev and Aqazadeh held their second round of talks here Sunday morning. The two sides discussed the progress made in the first unit of the Bushehr Power Plant and the time of its inauguration. Mohammad Saeidi, an IAEO deputy, said that Iran did not accept the Russian side`s proposed time, adding that "but we will try to reach an agreement on time schedule." He said the two sides expressed various ideas on fuel of the power plant and time for its delivery, holding serious talks last night to bring the two countries` views close. The IAEO official hoped Iran and Russia will fix a time for inauguration of the power plant`s first unit and sign documents of the main protocol, financial issues, and time of fuel delivery. Rumyantsev and Aqazadeh arrived in the southern city of Bushehr Sunday. The ranking Russian official and his entourage inspected various parts of the Bushehr Power Plant in the presence of IAEO head, deputies, and experts as well as domestic and foreign reporters. The Iranian and Russian nuclear chiefs are scheduled to attend a press conference after signing of the protocol. 2327/2325/1432
