No time limit for nuclear talks with Europe: Kharrazi
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Berlin, Feb 17, IRNA -- The Iranian government does not set a specific time limit for its current nuclear negotiations with the Europeans but Tehran insists on its legitimate right to enrich uranium, Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi said Thursday. Talking to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Kharrazi said he did not expect a "definite result" by March 15 in the ongoing EU 3-Iran political and nuclear talks. Iran will continue to negotiate "if it has the feeling that the talks have been positive," according to Kharrazi. The Iranian official reaffirmed his country won`t abandon its right to enrich uranium but was willing to provide "objective guarantees" that it does not pursue nuclear weapons. "We are ready to create an atmosphere of trust," stressed the minister. Kharrazi said an "institutionalized deepening of ties between Europeans and Iran in the spheres of technology, economy and security policy" as well as International Atomic Energy Agency inspections of "all facilities" in Iran were key to resolving the conflict.
