Report on missile strike on Bushehr US provocation - Iran official
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Feb 17, Itar-Tass/ACSNA/IRNA -- The report on an alleged missile strike on the southern Iranian province of Bushehr on Wednesday is a component part of the `psychological war` waged by the United States against Iran, head of the propaganda department of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Agha Mohammadi said. "The report on a missile strike and explosion at an Iranian nuclear facility circulated by Western mass media is a fabrication, which is a component part of the US psychological war against Iran. The aim of the circulated conspicuous `canard` is to distract international public opinion from the inability of the Europeans to fulfill their obligations to Iran," the official stressed in an interview with the Iranian new agency IRNA. On Wednesday, Reuters reported a missile strike took place near Dailam city, which is located on the Persian Gulf coast 150 kilometers west of Bushehr where a nuclear power plant is under construction. Later reports said a fuel tank from an unidentified plane that flew over Dailam fell to the ground and exploded. The reports caused bewilderment in Iran. /2322/1432
