IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Berlin, Feb 16, IRNA -- American Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice has pledged not to hamper the sensitive nuclear talks between the European Union 3 (Germany, France, Britain) and Iran, DPA quoted EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana as saying Wednesday. "There is no real alternative to our Iran policy. And (US) Secretary of State Rice has promised she won`t hamper our negotiations," Solana said in an interview with the weekly newspaper ZEIT, due to hit the newsstands Thursday. He added while the US won`t directly negotiate with Iran, there were `enough examples of countries which did not recognize one another but still made deal with one another`. The EU has repeatedly urged the US to join the sensitive political and nuclear talks with the Islamic Republic of Iran. OT/2322/1432
