Mubarak warns US against attacking Iran

Berlin, Dec 18, IRNA -- Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak warned the 
United States against launching an attack on Iran in a bid to halt the
Islamic Republic`s peaceful nuclear programme. 
Speaking with the online site of Der Spiegel magazine on Saturday,
Mubarak said such an American military aggression would be a "mistake 
of catastrophic dimensions". 
The Egyptian leader added, "I hope it won`t happen." 
Mubarak stressed such an American assault would also have dire 
global implications with regards to the spread of violence.
