Iran to suspend all enrichment activities as long as talks with EU continue: Mousavian
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Vienna, Nov 29, IRNA -- The spokesman of the Iranian delegation to the IAEA Board of Governors here on Monday afternoon said Iran and Europe reached an agreement that Tehran would suspend all its enrichment activities as long as negotiations with the Europe continue. Talking to reporters before the start of this afternoon session of the board, he predicted that Iran`s case would be taken out of the board`s agenda and that the IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei would present his report on Iran`s activities as appropriate. On the issue of centrifuges, he said Tehran will not conduct any testing of these sets of components. "Iran will put the activities of its centrifuges under monitor of the agency while we continue our negotiations with the Europeans on the issue," Mousavian added. On reaction of the Americans regarding the resolution, he said he guessed that the Americans would not be happy with the resolution. He stressed that paragraph one of the resolution stresses that the suspension is a voluntary, non-legally-binding and confidence building measure. 1422/2322/1432
