Moussavian: Eu draft, most positive draft issued on Iran
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Vienna, Nov 29, IRNA -- Spokesman of the Iranian delegation to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors Hossein Moussavian here on Monday said the EU final draft is the most positive draft resolution issued on Iran`s nuclear program ever since the crisis on Iran`s nuclear activities started. Talking to IRNA, he said all fundamental changes envisioned by Iran have been inserted in the EU proposed draft. The existing draft which is a moderate and balanced draft, is completely within the framework of the Paris agreement, he added. Iran`s demands have been met after seven rounds of discussion with the EU representatives, tens of telephone contacts between the negotiating delegates and officials in Berlin, Paris and London as well as several other contacts with other authorities, he stressed. "We can say that the first phase of the Paris agreement has been materialized. Iran has carried out its commitments and Europe has also fulfilled its commitments regarding taking out Iran`s nuclear case from the Board of Governors` agenda," Moussavian continued. "We are waiting for further steps by the EU since Europe has more commitments on the basis of the Paris agreement which should be carried out," he added. The draft paves the way for taking out Iran`s case from the urgency state of the Board of Governors, the Iranian spokesman told IRNA. The IAEA Board of Governors is to resume talks this afternoon to ratify the EU proposed draft on Iran. 1422/1432
