EU demanding Iranian letter to drop nuclear freeze exemption
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Vienna, Nov 27, IRNA -- Europe has called on Iran to submit a formal letter withdrawing its request for a specific nuclear freeze exemption on 20 research centrifuges, a western diplomat said here on Friday evening. The diplomat told IRNA that unless the Iranians hand over a letter to the Europeans withdrawing an earlier demand that 20 centrifuges be exempted from the freeze, "all bets are off." "The Europeans are firm on this letter," he stressed. He made it clear that the Europeans are just waiting for this centrifuge dispute to be settled and they would table a resolution. The diplomat said all IAEA member states in the Board of Governors "more or less agrees" to the resolution that is set to be tabled. "The member countries can live with it," he added. 1422/2321/1432
