Kharrazi discusses Iran-IAEA cooperation with counterparts

Sharm el-Sheikh, Nov 23, IRNA -- Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi said Iran`s cooperation with the European Union big trio and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) indicated that Iran observes international regulations. Kharrazi, in separate meetings with his Russian, German and British counterparts Monday night and Tuesday morning, discussed the latest developments in bilateral ties, the Iraqi crisis and Iran`s cooperation with the IAEA. Shifting to the Iraqi crisis, the Iranian minister said, "Crimes which are currently committed in Falluja are not acceptable under any pretext." He stressed withdrawal of foreigners from Iraq and holding election on schedule. The foreign ministers of Russia, Germany and Britain stressed on Iran`s absolute right in peaceful use of nuclear technology and voiced their cooperation with Iran in this field. The ministers appreciated Iran`s role in the establishment of peace in Iraq and assessed the next (interior) ministerial meeting of Iraq`s neighboring states in Tehran as important. The Iranian foreign minister, who is currently here to attend the International Ministerial Meeting of the Neighboring Countries of Iraq, is scheduled to meet with EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana. The ministerial meeting kicked off its work at the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh Tuesday. Senior representatives of Iraqi neighboring states, the United Nations (UN), members of the UN Security Council (UNSC), the Arab League, the European Union (EU), the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and G8 member states are participating at the meeting. 2327/1432
