ElBaradei to present Iran report most probably on Friday
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Vienna, Nov 10, IRNA -- The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed ElBaradei will most probably submit his report on Iran`s nuclear activities to the Agency`s Board of Governors on Friday, said an IAEA diplomat here on Wednesday. The diplomat further told IRNA that Iran`s response to the proposals of the EU `Big 3` concerning suspension of the uranium enrichment program would be forwarded to the Agency before the release of the report. He stressed that no deadline has been set for Iran to present its response to the proposals and if Iran`s stance is announced later, the IAEA chief would mention it in his opening speech to the Board meeting on November 25. Reuters already quoted IAEA diplomats as saying that Iran should offer its written response on how long it would suspend uranium enrichment process as favored by the three European states of Britain, France and Germany. Iran and the three European states had in their talks in Paris on Friday reached agreement on suspension of the uranium enrichment activities. The IAEA chief has promised Iran to submit a positive report on Iran if the Paris talks proved successful. 1420/1412
