Accord on repatriation of spent fuel from Bushehr to be signed soon
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Moscow, Nov 9, IRNA -- An accord on repatriation of spent fuel from Bushehr power plant to Moscow will be signed soon, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Yakovenko said on Tuesday. He told reporters that the accord is in the context of transparent cooperation between Iran and Russia under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). "Preliminaries for repatriation of the spent fuel has been worked out and only the commercial sector of the accord will also be finalized soon," Yakovenko said. The head of Russian Atomic Energy Agency Alexander Rumyantsev said last June that fuel will be supplied to Bushehr power plant in autumn 2005. 1416/2322/1432
