Iran has every right to enrich uranium: Blix
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Berlin, Oct 25, IRNA -- Iran has every right to conduct a uranium enrichment program, former United Nations chief weapons inspector Hans Blix was quoted as saying Monday on the website of the German television network Ard. If the West urges Iran to give up its uranium enrichment, "then you are asking them to give something up they have a right to be doing. Then you have to accept that they (Iranians) will make demands," Blix added. The 76-year-old Swede called on Western countries to offer concessions to Iran if they want Tehran to abandon its uranium enrichment. Blix cited improved trade relations and a non-aggression pact as possible incentives to persuade Iran to drop its uranium enrichment program. OT/2321/1432
