Germany to continue Iran nuclear talks before Nov.25 IAEA meeting
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Berlin, Oct 22 , IRNA -- The German government here Friday called for continued political talks on Iran`s nuclear programme ahead of the November 25 meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency`s (IAEA) Board of Governors. "There will be a series of talks (between Iran and Europe) until November 25. I anticipate that there will be negotiations on different levels. The talks in Vienna (Thursday) were only a part of it," German Foreign Ministry spokesman Walter Lindner said during a news conference in Berlin. The official called Thursday`s talks between Iran and the three European Union states "useful and rational" but was not able to divulge details of the nuclear negotiations in Vienna. Lindner pointed out that last year`s Tehran agreement remained the basis for talks in the Austrian capital. He stressed the objective of nuclear talks between Iran and EU was to "remove doubts and rebuild confidence" and called on Tehran to "fulfill all its nuclear obligations". Tehran has reiterated its nuclear programme was peaceful, calling on the Vienna-based UN nuclear watchdog to finally close Iran`s case. OT/1771
