Iran to study EU plan if it respects nuclear rights: speaker
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Oct 20, IRNA -- Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad Adel said here on Wednesday that if European proposal respects Tehran`s right to master nuclear technology for peaceful purposes, Iran would discuss it. Making remarks on the sidelines of the Majlis open session, he added that "We should find out whether the EU-three big powers have any new proposal or not." Haddad Adel stressed "any new proposal must recognize our legitimate rights." In response to a question on European`s demand that Iran completely freeze its uranium enrichment, he said that Iran would reject such a proposal if it does not respect Iranian legitimate right. Iranian officials are to attend a meeting in Vienna on Thursday with British, French and German officials to hear their new proposals. 2331/1412
