IAEA inspectors to stay in Iran till Saturday: Fleming

Vienna, Oct 13, IRNA -- The one-week visit to Iran of inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will continue till Saturday, October 16, it was announced here on Wednesday. Talking to IRNA, IAEA spokeswoman Melissa Fleming added that during their stay, the agency`s inspectors are to inspect Iran`s various nuclear installations. The six-member inspector group, headed by a deputy to IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei, are currently in Iran to visit the country`s nuclear installations and to talk with Iranian authorities, she reiterated. She did not elaborate on topics to be discussed by the Iranian officials and the IAEA inspectors. Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi had earlier said that Tehran voluntarily let the IAEA inspectors visit the country`s nuclear installations so that the required confidence would be provided between the two sides. 1422/1432
