US not allowed to deny Iran right to nuclear technology: Kashani

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, Sept 24, IRNA -- Senior cleric Ayatollah Mohammad Emami
Kashani said here on Friday that the US is not allowed to deprive the
Iranian nation from their legitimate right to attain peaceful nuclear
technology.
Kashani, in a sermon at Tehran Friday prayers, said Iran will
never pursue nuclear weapons nor any weapons of mass destruction, as
repeatedly highlighted by senior officials, and refreshed reassurances
that Iran`s nuclear activities are merely for peaceful purposes.
"The enemies are trying to deprive us from a legal and legitimate
right. All such measures are against [international] laws and are
merely a deceit by the White House," he said.
Kashani said the Iranian nation will never let the enemies achieve
their goals and called on all officials to promote unity to stand
against US efforts to stop Iran from developing access to peaceful
nuclear technology.
"All officials of the system should know their unity will
disappoint the enemy. Otherwise, any difference among the officials
will make the enemy happy," he stated.
Kashani, who is also a member of the Expediency Council (EC),
warned against efforts by the enemy to undermine young Iranians
through cultural invasion.
He called on the youth to make efforts in learning sciences, and
said the enemies of Iran never want young Iranians to be educated.
The enemies are seeking to colonize and exploit Islamic states,
Kashani warned.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Kashani cautioned that the global
arrogance is trying to manipulate the issue of globalization to expand
secularism and immorality in the world in the name of democracy.
"This is not what Western people want from globalization. It is
the goal of Western super powers, the Zionist regime and the White
House," he said.
Ayatollah Kashani further lashed out at US campaign in Afghanistan
and Iraq, and said the atrocities of White House leaders in those
countries under the pretext of fighting terrorism are part of their
struggles to promote globalization.
