Iran to continue cooperation with IAEA till remaining issues are resolved: Iranian spokesman

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Vienna, Sept 17, IRNA -- The spokesman of the Iranian delegation to
the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors,
Hossein Moussavian, here Friday stressed that the Islamic Republic of
Iran will continue its cooperation with the IAEA until all remaining
issues are resolved by November.
On the US position on Iran`s nuclear activities, he told reporters
that the Americans had, from the very beginning, been looking for
avenues to send Iran`s case to the UN Security Council during IAEA
meetings.
Again, they have failed in this meeting to set October 31 as
the deadline for Iran to dispel all doubts regarding its nuclear
activities, he added.
On Iran`s reaction towards the position taken by the European
trio -- France, Germany, England -- in the draft resolution,
Moussavian said: "We are not fully satisfied with the position of the
European trio. We believe the Europeans have not fulfilled their
commitments to Iran."
The Islamic Republic of Iran, since October, has been actively
cooperating and fulfilling all its commitments, he said, adding that
in return Tehran expected that the European countries would also
fulfill their commitments, but have failed in this regard.
"I believe that they have shown weakness in fulfilling their
commitments," he added.
"We have more comprehensive and broader issues to discuss with
the three European countries, including regional security and all-out
cooperation with the EU. I believe that from now on these will take
center stage in our negotiations with the three European states,"
Moussavian said.
