Russia: Security Council debate on Iran nuclear file needless

Moscow, Sept 17, Itar-Tass/ACSNA/IRNA -- Russia "does not deem it 
expedient to submit Iran`s nuclear dossier for consideration by the 
UN Security Council," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Yuri Fedotov 
told reporters here on Friday. 
"This problem is now being considered by the IAEA Board of 
Governors and its transfer to the UN Security Council is 
unwarranted," the diplomat stressed. 
"We believe it is necessary to make full use of the IAEA 
potential to resolve the problems which the organization is posing 
before Iran," he added.
