FM spokesman says IAEA report confirms Iran`s anticipations

Tehran, Sept 2, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamidreza Asefi here late Wednesday said the latest report issued by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirms Iran`s anticipations. Pointing out that Iran has worked very closely and transparently with the IAEA, he said there are no vague points remaining any longer between Iran and the IAEA. He further stressed that Iran has cooperated very sincerely with the IAEA and noted that Tehran was determined to continue its cooperation with the agency and fulfill its commitments. Asefi said the latest IAEA report clearly expresses that some of the problems have been solved and called on all member states, including Iran, to adopt transparent policies. He also noted that time has proved that Iran is pursuing peaceful purposes in its nuclear activities within international regulations. The Foreign Ministry spokesman remarked that only trivial issues remain unsettled with the IAEA which Iran hopes to solve them in the future despite the ballyhoo by certain countries. 1424/2322/1432
