Rezaie says IAEA should close Iran`s nuclear dossier
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, July 31, IRNA -- Expediency Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaie said here on Saturday that it is now the turn of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to close Iran`s nuclear dossier and cooperate with the Islamic state in peaceful use of nuclear technology. Addressing a group of people at Fatimah al-Zahra Mosque in Tehran, Rezaie said Iran has had all kinds of cooperation with the IAEA. As for the US threats to launch military strikes against Iran, Rezaie said that even in case of the US President George W. Bush`s election victory, the US would not be able to wage a war on Iran. He said the US is unable to launch a war on Iran as it did against Iraq and Afghanistan. As for Israel`s likely attack on Iran`s Bushehr atomic power plant, Rezaie said that in case of any such attack, the aggressor would certainly regret its act. Referring to the Iraqi imposed war on Iran, Rezaie said the UN Security Council resolution 598 was the first political victory in the history of Iran`s war with a third world state. He said resistance for the sake of national interests was the first experience in Iran`s foreign policy. 1420/1412
