Tehran, June 30, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi said in
Mexico City on Wednesday nuclear weapons have no place in Iran`s
security doctrine, stressing Iran is among countries that call for
a Middle East free from weapons of mass destruction.
Kharrazi, who arrived in Mexico on Monday on an official visit,
made the remark in a meeting with his Mexican counterpart Luis
Ernesto Derbez.
"All Iran`s nuclear activities and programs are under the
supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency," he said.
Pointing to the developments in Iraq, he added that holding
elections and establishment of a popular government in Iraq should
be now on the top of the country`s agenda.
"The Islamic Republic seriously calls for settlement of
Iraq`s problems and will help the country to this effect," he
stressed.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed possible avenues for
bolstering bilateral ties as well as economic and cultural
cooperation.

and cooperation in this field between the two countries as a
cultural-economic step.

and economic fields to boost economic ties including setting up of
joint chambers of commerce and called for making use of the two
