IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Vienna, June 18, IRNA -- The European Union (EU) on Friday called for Iran`s active and transparent cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) over its nuclear energy plans. The EU, in a statement, voiced pleasure over the progress achieved in understanding the nature and domain of Iran`s nuclear energy activities and uranium enrichment plans. The Union also declared that some questions that have been raised on the issue still remain outstanding. The EU has expressed happiness over Iran`s voluntarily decision to suspend all uranium enrichment programs and Iran`s implementation of the Additional Protocol of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). The Union had further urged Iran to immediately ratify the protocol. 2330/1771
