IAEA acknowledges mistake to ElBaradei`s report on Iran
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Vienna, June 17, IRNA -- Head of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed ElBaradei on Thursday acknowledged that the agency was in mistake in accusing Iran of withholding information about centrifuge plant for uranium enrichment. ElBaradei said that the report he delivered to Board of Governors should be corrected. Diplomats interviewed at IAEA headquarters told IRNA that acknowledgement of the agency`s mistake indicated that Iran has been honest in cooperation with the international agency. "Absolutely, it was a win for Tehran when the agency admits mistake in Director General`s report to the Board. It serves as a feedback for Iran to prove that it has been honest in terms of Non-Proliferation Treaty and that the report provided about Iranian nuclear program are influenced by the United States which wants to settle score with Tehran through an international agency," the diplomat said. 1416/1416
