Rowhani stresses legitimacy of Iran`s nuclear activities
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, June 2, IRNA -- Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Hassan Rowhani here Wednesday stressed the legitimacy of Iran`s nuclear activities. Talking to reporters, he said the file on Iran`s nuclear activities is to be finalized in the near future. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has recently announced that two major issues have been remained unresolved between Iran and the IAEA, which are the issues of contamination and P2 centrifuge. The IAEA has announced that the file on Iran`s nuclear activities will be closed after resolving the two key issues, Rowhani reiterated. The Islamic Republic has been fully committed to the agreements reached between that country and the IAEA, he said, adding that the recent report released by IAEA Chief Mohamed ElBaradei terms Iran`s nuclear program as peaceful and legal. Rowhani further quoted ElBaradei as saying that no evidence has been found to prove that Iran`s nuclear activity either threatens the international peace or is illegal. 1422/1432
