Iran to submit a comprehensive report on its nuclear activities to IAEA

Tehran, May 21, IRNA -- Iran`s former representative to IAEA and an advisor to the foreign minister, Ali-Akbar Salehi, here Friday announced that a comprehensive report on Iran`s nuclear programs will be submitted to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the coming days. Salehi added that the report is being prepared in accordance with article 2 of the additional protocol to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) signed by Iran. Iran`s former envoy to IAEA expressed hope that once the report is submitted to the agency, it would settle a major part of related issues. He said that Iran`s nuclear file should be noticed from three dimensions including technical-legal, political and media publicity. Iran`s nuclear file is to be examined by the IAEA Board of Governors in a meeting on June 14. Meanwhile, three groups of IAEA inspectors have been in Iran since May 15 to inspect the country`s nuclear installations. MP/210
