IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Moscow, May 18, Itar-Tass/IRNA -- Russia and Iran have arrived at a political agreement on the return of spent nuclear fuel from Iran to Russia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Monday after ending talks with his Iranian counterpart, Dr Kamal Kharrazi. "Let`s refrain from making a political sensation out of it as this is an issue of a purely commercial character," he said. For his part, Dr. Kharrazi said only the commercial issues remain unsettled. He reiterated Iran`s conviction that spent nuclear fuel must be sent back to Russia. Russian companies are participating in the construction of Iran`s first nuclear power unit in the southern Iranian city of Bushehr. /LS/210
