Iran vows to honor commitments to IAEA

Tehran, April 25, IRNA -- Iran renewed its pledge Sunday to respect its commitments to the international nuclear watchdog and continue cooperation with it. Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi, speaking to reporters here in a weekly news briefing, expressed hope that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and European countries would honor their commitments to Tehran by the same token. The official touched on Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi`s tour of Europe this week and described the outcome of the visit as `very successful`. "All outstanding issues between Iran and European countries have been tackled during meetings held between the Iranian diplomacy head and high-ranking European officials," Asefi said. BH/210 End
