Iran has fully cooperated with IAEA: FM spokesman
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, March 8, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi said here Monday that Iran is optimistic over the possible results of today`s meeting of the IAEA Governing Council on Iran`s nuclear activities since the country has been fully cooperative with the agency. Remaining issues between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have been fully resolved or are being resolved, Asefi added. "Iran is committed to its promises," he stressed. "We have close cooperation and coordination with members of the Governing Council and the three European states (Britain, Germany and France) and we think the case is logically being divested of its political character," the spokesman said. "The Islamic Republic of Iran insists on normalization of its relations with the IAEA and is determined to pursue matters within the framework of its commitments under the Additional Protocol so as to normalize and do serious business with the agency," Asefi added.
