Rowhani: US has created difficulty for Iran`s nuclear program
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, March 7, IRNA -- Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Hassan Rowhani said on Sunday that the United States has created difficulty for Iran`s national nuclear program. Speaking at the 11th meeting of the Assembly of Experts, he said that despite Iran being a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), the United States has raised international concern about the recycling of fuel in Iranian nuclear facilities. He made it clear that the entire objective the United States is pursuing is to protect its monopoly in the nuclear industry. He called on the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to drop Iran from the agenda of the board of governors given Iran`s signature on additional protocol to NPT and granting free access to inspectors of the specialized agency of the United Nations. Rowhani further demanded the international agency pave the way for Iran`s entry to the international club of nuclear states in view of its national program to generate electricity from nuclear energy. 215/AH/210 End
