Tehran, Jan 31, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi said here Saturday that Iran always stresses making the world free from nuclear weapons. Kharrazi made the remarks at Mehrabad International Airport as he talked to reporters upon his arrival from Geneva`s Disarmament Conference. Iran considers nuclear disarmament in the countries which have such weapons as the final solution to make the world free from nuclear weapons, Kharrazi said. Since Iran is against nuclear weapons, it uses appropriate opportunities to express its stance on opposition to these weapons, he added. He said no declaration has been issued during the conference in Geneva since it is a permanent conference, adding the declaration would be issued at the UN General Assembly. On the sidelines of the conference, a meeting was held with the Brazilian foreign minister, Kharrazi said, noting Brazil is among industrial and advanced countries and the two countries can enjoy good cooperation in various economic, political and cultural fields. Kharrazi stressed that the release of Palestinian and Lebanese prisoners was a victory for the Islamic World, Hizbollah and Lebanon. The Lebanese people and the whole region respect Hizbollah and Muslims attach special importance to it, he said, adding Hizbollah guerrillas forced the Zionist occupiers to leave south of Lebanon and freed the region through their resistance. He also expressed hope that the fate of four captured Iranian diplomats in Lebanon would be cleared in the near future. SF/210 End
