IAEA board resolution on Iran ratified
IRNA
Vienna, Nov 26, IRNA -- The International Atomic Energy Agency`s (IAEA) board resolution on Iran`s nuclear program received overwhelming votes in its favor at the board`s Wednesday meeting. The board reconvened wednesday to study Iran`s nuclear dossier. The session is a follow up to the board`s earlier meetings on Thursday and Friday, that had failed to garner a consensus due to acute differences among the members on Iran`s nuclear program, postponing further scrutiny to a next session this Wednesday. Representatives of the 35-nation board members had in the interval consulted with their respective country on the IAEA Director General Mohammad ElBaradei`s report on Iran`s nuclear activities. The draft resolution on Iran, sponsored by three big European states, namely Britain, France and Germany, had been finalized on Monday for investigation at the board`s Wednesday session. 216/214 End
