Tehran Agreement, yardstick for Iran, says diplomat
IRNA
Vienna, Nov 21, IRNA -- Tehran agreement is the yardstick for Iran and it does not welcome any other thing whatsoever, said an Iranian diplomat, who attends the ongoing board of governors meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) here on Friday. The diplomat, who identified himself as Fereydoun, told IRNA that the only important things for Tehran, based on which all affairs should be handled, are the Tehran Agreement and the statements made there. The Tehran Agreement, reached on October 21 among Iran and foreign ministers of Britain, France and Germany, stresses Iran`s agreement to joining the additional protocol of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and the suspension of Iran`s uranium enrichment program on the one hand and extension of peaceful nuclear technology assistance to Tehran by European partners. Another diplomat had already quoted the head of the IAEA Board as calling on Iran to close the case on its accession to the NPT additional protocol at the agency`s Friday meeting. He said that Iran, however, believes that talks on its accession to the additional protocol should be coupled with discussions on the outcome of the agreement among three European foreign ministers. 216/NA/210 End
