ElBaradei says discussions on Iran`s case to take by next week
IRNA
Vienna, Nov 20, IRNA -- The International Atomic Energy Agency`s (IAEA) chief, Mohamed ElBaradei, said here Friday that discussions on Iran`s case will take until next week and no resolution can be expected until that date. ElBaradei told IRNA that there had been progress in discussions and consultations among all board members in a bid to reach a consensus on the resolution. He said that he thought things are moving but the board needed more time to deal with the issue. He went on to say that everybody was still interested in reaching a consensus and there had been a lot of narrowing of differences among majority of the board members. ElBaradei said there had always been different perceptions on how to address his report to the board. He hoped that the board would be able to get a consensus on the resolution. ElBaradei said discussion on protocol is somewhat linked to the board resolution from Iran`s perspective. He said discssion on the protocol will be after an agreement is reached on the resolution. ElBaradei hoped that a deal, consented by all, would be reached at the end of board negotiations. 216/NA/210 End
